Election comments and Milim Yafot M'ele

All I have to say about the election night is: Yeah! I was pretty anxious watching the numbers come in. I think that I will go out on a limb and call it by saying that Dems won the Senate too. Now they just need a candidate for '08 who can actually win. (I don't think the US will vote for Hillary for Pres...maybe VP, but not for Pres.

I was driving to class yesterday when I heard the news about Sec. of State Rumsfeld resigning. I actually cheered to myself in the car. I'm the sort that never talks to the TV and I don't usually cheer or make noise when there is no one else to hear...but this was an exception. Then I got to thinking how Bush a) wanted to replace Rummy before the new Senate comes into office, b) lied to the American people last week and c) gave the Dems the election by not announcing replacing Rummy last week.

I wonder if The Daily Show and The colbert Report will lose something now that there is no longer a unified Republican goverment to scorn/laugh at.

On a seperate note, Elana and I are missing Israel recently, so I think that I would put a music video on here. It is 'Milim Yafot M'ele' from The Idan Raichel Project. They are playing in LA next week. (We can't go since Elana has to teach...)

P.S. Do my readers like my posting videos? Please comment.

I was cheering on election day and the day after, too. Let's just hope the Dems don't screw it up in 2 years when it's time to elect a new president (still oh so far away!)

i like videos, multimedia is always good :)
