This is a quick blog entry before class. I have been experiencing a very uncomfortable phenomenon for the past several months. Almost every time I get out of our car, I get a static electric shock. It often hurts and it always happens when I touch the metal exterior as I am closing the door. It happens less when I am in the passenger seat.
Does anyone out there know why this is happening?...I mean practically- I don't want a physics lesson. How can I stop it?

Have Elana drive.
I would never subject my lovely wife to painful electric shocks on purpose. Also, she usually tells me that she hates to drive.
Oh, wait, honey, is that you?
:)
You might try an anti-static bracelet, like the ones people who build computers wear.
